Friends, we are thrilled to share that The Mark 5:19 Project has received 501c3 status from the U.S. government. What does this mean?
For us, it means that we can partner with a wider range of people who want to support the work we offer parishes. Our core philosophy is that we serve parish leaders to help fosters evangelizing parishes, and we do that in partnership with a wider community of people who want to see every Catholic parish thrive in its gospel mission to share the good news.
For you, if you have donated to The Mark 5:19 Project, that means you will receive an end of year giving letter that you can hand to your tax advisor for possible deduction.
For others among you, if you haven’t donated to The Mark 5:19 Project, this may open a new avenue for your end-of-year (or beginning of next year) giving.
For parishes, it means greater access to expert consulting, personalized education, and more. It means that perhaps we can start offering scholarship funding for our consulting work, to keep our reasonable charges even lower for parishes in need.

We know there is so much need in the world, and many nonprofits doing excellent work. We would be honored if you would consider The Mark 5:19 Project as an initiative with which you are willing to partner. We are working with five parishes through consulting, and doing mission education speaking at one Catholic school system and two mission-focused apostolates. We have spoken with leaders at three dioceses and have interest from many more. The need for a new, effective focus on the Church’s local mission in an increasingly secular world is clear. We are jumping in the deep end to meet it.
