Friends, we began this apostolate because we firmly believe that most parishes in the United States have about 10 years or less turn it around–that is, to embrace becoming missional parishes. If they do, they will thrive, even in a post-Christian world, and if they don’t, they will wither and shrink, even close. Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega, and the gates of hell will not prevail against his Church. But that does not mean the mission of parish life as we know it, and as it was intended by Christ, cannot fail in our country. As evangelic outposts of the Great Commission in a world that seems more wounded by the day, the stakes couldn’t be higher.
The Mark 5:19 Project is applying as of Spring 2024 to be a 501c3 organization, because we can’t do this without your partnership. Parishes typically cannot afford what corporate America pays for high quality consulting, targeted education, and mission support. After all, parishes aren’t selling anything to make an ongoing profit–they are giving it all away! So we charge what it takes to keep this mission viable for parishes and dioceses, but that is a rate that can only be sustained by the many people who want to see the Church be the herald and embodiment of the good news that it is called to be.
We invite you to be part of reviving many parishes for spiritual depth and dynamic mission. So many want it! Can you help make this happen?
Pray.
First, we ask you to pray for us and with us. Be prayer warriors for renewal! The newsletter will outline regular prayer requests, and I cannot tell you how much your prayer is appreciated.
Donate.
In addition to prayer, we do need financial donors to offer these services. I dream of a day where our donations cover everything and we offer all our services for free! But in order to operate at all, we need to two types of donors: monthly donors and angel donors.
Monthly donors would be people who can invest in the missionary future of the Church once a month through a direct deposit. The amount could be 20, 50, 100, or 200 a month. You give our mission work stability and the ability to commit to future month’s speaking engagements, missions, and consulting projects.
Angel donors are people who have the desire and ability to make one time donations in significant amounts to help us get started on a solid foundation. We could not do this without you!
